Promise of Peace

*** * * wishes for silk lamps to soften all chilly nights, promise of world peace ringing wind chimes from heaven and orchids flaming the lawn A glow climbs our tree laying a music box on swags as I hear the song of Santa’s joyous greetings with sweet tunes dancing on bulbs lamps will be my stars while blooms will paint the path ways, yet in notes ending seeds of peace he cannot yield for love is man’s choice © ---------- Contest: Linda Marie’s Santa’s Surprise By: nette onclaud

It's strange right after I talked about Linda judging this contest, I finally heard from her!! Sure hope her hubbie helps her out a lot. How terrible not to do internet when it's something you have been so accustomed to!

Good Nette Good..! yes we as people have an input..! as the bible explains God gave man dominion over the whole earth,, so although we are not devine..) man is like a manager for God.! and so it goes on up & down the scale...!

this is SO good, Nette, and what a shame if dear Linda NEVER comes back, not even to judge the contest!! I really am mystified as to why she has not been back in so long. It is very uncharacteristic of her, don't you think? I think she would really love this. Thanks for my win in your contest.Andrea

Nette, you wrote a beautiful write here! I love how you gave Santa magical powers of nature and beauty, but yet limited his ability to grant the wish of peace! It's man's choice to love or hate or be indifferent! I really enjoyed your poem immensely! Awesome Work!!
