Promise Me

Promise me that you wont cry,
When my time comes to say goodbye. 

Promise me that my ashes will set free,
Drifting slowley in the endless sea.

Promise me you will always laugh,
While remembering our good times in the past.

Promise me to walk in the night,
Knowing dark is as good as light.

Promise me that you will stay strong,
Never let go, and always hang on.

Promise me that your heart will set free,
For this is not the end, but the begining, of me.

When we truly love someone, we want them to have a wonderful life after our "time comes to say goodbye." My father died in January, and I can hear his voice as I read this!
