Promise

My promise is to you—
I will not bruise your life,
yet I will carry your trace
as if it were my own.

My promise is to you—
I will not write your name,
yet it lives in my crimson heart,
silent, unerasable.

My promise is to you—
I will not meet you again,
yet I will never truly leave,
for every golden season remembers you.
