Notes About The Poem

Projection

“If the doors of perception were cleansed,
everything would appear as it is - infinite” — William Blake

PROJECTION

They don’t come back
those ghosts
except of the past
rewatch the host
of recollections
forgotten with time
as if a new day exists
for the loved one you miss

Though forgotten with time, those dear ones gone out of sight will come to the surface of our thoughts, igniting sparks of pain and longing ! Beautifully poignant and terse, Kim!

Inspired by watching videos of family I’d probably never have seen. Funny moment with my son near a playground slide with a huge sub sandwich in his hands, biting off a piece and some video of my mom (dad had tears) all as we watched the videos my niece pieced together of my nephew.

Give them time, my friend. They will visit you from time to time, in ways so real, you will about swear they were there. ~ Communing with the Hereafter
