Procrastination

PROCRASTINATION

Whence studying takes you where you don’t want to go...kicking and screaming in tantrum, lackadaisical, with need for cleansing and refreshment. Mind takes mini trails to anywhere. The task must be accomplished at some point and with fervor but not today. Not tomorrow...not before Thanksgiving vacation. But after that will look for those needles or nettles in a haystack, pick my teeth and continue the grind, probably wearing them down to the nubs. An A student shoots for a B or C because this class has not been my thing.

procrastination —
unpleasantries that destroy
one’s spirited smile

I am a notorious procrastinator with certain things, Kim, but not when it comes to paying bills. That I do ASAP! It's returning calls or emails. But once I am determined, I do it and it frees my mind of any guilt. Thanks for the stop by. / M

My mind takes me on mini-trails to everywhere, so I do not have to see the stacks and piles and stuff I simply have no love to take on today. Procrastination is big with me until I get into the frenzy mode, then watch out. Wearing the teeth down to nubs; I can relate to this whole poem. Thank you Kim.

Same way, Caren, once it kicks in, I’m good to go!
