Prison Heartache
My home is one of heartache; A place of stone.
Just one cell, my place in hell, and here I sit alone.
For my crime I pay with time where no man wants to be.
I smell the fear, shed a tear and pray the Lord will look after me.
My body cramps from the cold and damp that chills me to the bone,
And though I'm forced to stay here now...This place will never be my home!
A small error in my life, never to descend down that road again.
At times I rage, pace my cage, and terror is my friend.
My pain I try and conceal,
but loneliness sets in for the kill as I listen to the click of metal locks!
The scrape of feet upon concrete, as guards patrol the blocks.
Convicts knives take human lives, no place holds more danger!
The passing days behind the wall...Each man remains a stranger.
Note: My dark days are almost over! Next year I will be home! You guys can
