Princess
Ah, princess dear, with the soul of a dove
And purer wings than gods above
A vision of splendor in gowns of white
A seraph in heaven’s golden light
How you graced the estate of the crown
Which sought, which strove, to tear you down –
What, in you, the whole world sought and saw
Was the mirror it pined and so wished for
A regal dream for a prince unbowed
Unwavering beacon to the crowd
And a radiant bloom of destiny
It drew from you so it could be –
Jewel of the masses and to the world
Rose of the kingdom bloom unfurled
Your season came, your season went
And you will be, as ever meant
A candle that burns, a flame that sears
You’ll blaze across the centuries
Never forgotten, of angels’ proud
Your legend speaks, it still speaks loud –
