Prince of Peace, Come and Reign

Prince of Peace, don’t long delay
Don’t let evil have its way
Death threatens our very life
There is war, abuse and strife

Prince of Peace, we’ve had enough
This life, oh Lord, this life is rough
We lose our loved ones, yet we pray
“Prince of Peace, come back today.”

Until then, Lord, send healing
To hearts that yet are bleeding
They’ve lost loved ones who are dear
Prince of Peace, to them be near

Prince of Peace, this can’t go on
Don’t let the evil hide the sun
Don’t let our tears soak the ground
While our hearts to grief are bound

Oh Prince of Peace, come and reign
Enter our hearts; soothe the pain
Touch our lives; revive ammmgain
Let’s not live our lives in vain

Prince of Peace, oh Mighty One
You are God’s own Precious Sun
The morning Light and our Song
Help us in your love be strong

Bring in your kingdom of peace
With your coming grant release
Your Return is drawing near
Then you’ll wipe away each tear

Oh, Prince of Peace, come and reign
In my heart and soul remain
In our country come and dwell
Prince of Peace, banish this hell.

Isaiah 9: 6- And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, PRINCE OF PEACE!!

I chose the very middle poem you have written and look where I landed. Christ at the centre. Praise be to God. Hugs and blessings.

I have just realized something. I've enjoyed so many of your poems and read a lot of your work and yet I forgot to add you to my favorite poets list. Silly me! I always forget about that feature...

God has many titles and Prince of Peace has been a favorite of mine. A stunning admiration for the Father... he would be proud!
