Prince In Disguise

For a second
My heart stops
Blood washes under my skin
I can’t think
Where should I begin?

I hunt through contrary thoughts
Wondering-
This second
Why in your gaze I’m caught?

Your laugh
Sweet like perfume
That heart, untamed
Can brighten a room

Better than an angel
I see it through these bloodshot eyes
You’re just
My prince
In disguise.
