Prince Charming

When I was a kid, I am very enthralled with fairy tales stories Like Snow White, Sleeping beauty, Cinderella And all the beautiful princesses I am too, dreamt of meeting a prince charming Whose might and charm is also captivating… At the vertex of fascination I used to turned all pages of the encyclopedia My grandpa had the complete series from A to Z Every day, I viewed the castle of far, far away Where all princes and princesses live in majestic I traced the kingdom’s map, draw a castle and cut Pasted all on the wall, stared at it, and start to daydream “Hear ye! Hear ye! This is the servant of the King The Palace is looking for a maiden who will marry the Prince All single ladies are invited to a glorious ball The Prince will choose, whose beauty is beyond them all As I daydream, I giggled and it’s like real, I will meet my Prince.” At my very young age, I asked God, “Please send me a prince” Who will take care of me; love me as I am, Who will be my knight and shining armor, And will protect me, to my wicked enemy… When I grew a little bit older, I understand that fairy tales are not for real Fairy tales do not exist, Prince charming does not exist It is merely a fantasy of a poor and ordinary girl like me As I grew older, I become more matured Experiences in life changed me as I grow old I understand that the real prince cannot be found The real prince does not exist No charming man who will admire you No knight who will protect you And No man will give you an everlasting love And no happily ever after in a lover’s life… As an adult, It is clear to me now That love is something you can’t easily have You can’t easily find And patiently you have to wait and let you find… Love does not exist in an obvious way But it is seen deep within someone’s heart Where it grows old to desire to be in one's heart…
