Prince
Remember when fairytales existed?
Where the world was simple and the sky was blue,
when the night had the answer to all your questions that started with “why”
The stars seem to think lies will make everything right.
When you grew your head was filled with stories of a princess saved by a prince,
you played out your fantasies made by innocence
They were created to cover up the mistakes of the world
Clouding our minds with tales filled with wonder that always seemed to end with happiness
Until one day reality pushed you from your cloud whose hands blinded you from the real world
You fell to earth with a thud,
now pain who covers your hazel eyes
But that day you learned that people were more than just their unchosen name.
You found out angels were evil hid by a mask
Demons weren’t real nothing man could possess
That princes were the biggest lie you were ever told
No man can truly be perfect if their mind is controlled by their desires of greed,
if you were to touch their hearts your finger tips would tingle from it’s cold
I have never found a prince,
one that was true
They used me for their sick fairytale
Destroying my heart piece by piece..
