Pride
Pride doesn't believe
it has ever lost a battle
yet the war still wages
for ages plenty have
tried to subdue it
those who hold on to it
only look foolish, clueless
to what's really going on
Pride is engulfed in the theory
that the emotional fury
will defeat it's enemy
because of it's lack to give in
the suspense is endless
yet pride still remains win-less
true these are just
poetic sentences
but how true and accurate
they are
truth is
pride will never catch you
when you fall just make you
understand what transpired
and how much a fool you are...
