Pretty Little Lies

Stop messing
with my head
your pretty little lies
bring right back
to the day
I first fell for them
you lied to my face
to make me happy
how ironic
you told me
you cheated on me as you begged me to stay
how messed up
"I'll change" you lied
so beautifully
that I believed it
"It'll never happen again"
you told me
with your fingers crossed behind your back
such a pretty lie
that you told me
so pretty
that I could've snapped a photo of it
and kept it in my locker
every word
that came out of your mouth
were just as deceiving as they were sweet
but yet
I soaked it all in
because I couldn't refuse the attention
you gave me
so pretty
what a pretty lie.

Pretty lies often end up hurting people terribly. You have such a writing talent Isabella. I hope to read more of your work. Four poems is not enough.
