Here and there Along the way People have thought I should lead But with much Common sense Thought that I Should not do it alone So I have had A number of men Who were there To help The very best Work quite hard And hit the ground Running fast Learn the job Very fast And yet right To do it And then was Lesser men Who needed just A little push To get them Start off And now and then A little direction And then a few Who’d say they will And here and there They did it And at last There were a few Who simply Never did Those who said They would do And then they Never did The best are A joy to have The others Not so much
