Presence of Absence

absence of sound is the deepest void, where silence reigns farthest spots, in that silence is heart beat of thought, swirling colours of hope, mist of dreams the din of noise like a turbulent gale, sweeps away benevolence of such purity, seedlings of truth germinate in quiet, when eyes are closed and mind at rest, when breath recounts the value of life, mind remembers the time that is lost, time that only clocks the material, because in the void there is no time, so void it was when it all began, void it will be when it all shall end, between the voids is myth of presence, absolute reality is total absence of all! find that void that binds us all together, in that void is silence and voice of God!

I agree with you and find that people are often absent minded as you are taking to them. Two reasons would be evident - the fist they are bored with your presence and the second reason is they are intimidated by your presence, and cannot keep up with you, or simply beyond them to comprehend a conversation, and there is certainly a void between presence and absence. Superb write Krish. Your poem speaks of several voids. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer. Jennifer

Congratulations on your win, Krish. I am awestruck, Irish, by the depth of your thoughts expressed in this poem. It is a gem - each and every line comes from the deep feelings of your heart. Sending this to my faves - I have to read this many times. You asked me about Mehndi bushes. I lived in a house in my childhood where the garden was fenced by Mehndi bushes - my father planned the entire garden, and the fence was his idea. I can never forget that haven of mine.

Thank you Mala for your very lovely words. I am pleased you like it. I read your poem about holding back tears - very good! Yes- old homes we visit are so nostalgic but time and events have moved on! it is a shell without life, but memory tries to recreate it, to give us that deep pain. read my poem black iron gates. I have similar sentiments!

A few days ago, wrote a poem " Holding back tears" remembering that house, and especially the mehndi bushes around it. Wrote a long comment - thanks for reading. BW ~ Mala
