Presence
Today I know I felt you, I was standing as they sang
Hands deep in my pockets, as the drums and cymbals rang
Here just as you’ve promised, you were moving in our midst
I felt you in the form of heat, deep down inside my wrist
way maker, miracle worker, promise keeper, light in the darkness
All those things are true,
I barely turned my right hand up, I felt a rush and knew
When I closed my hand it vanished, when I turned it went away.
When I opened up it swirled around and comfortably it just stayed
It felt like an explosion, but the power never peaked
Instead it stayed so constant and from my palm it leaked
My hand reduced to matter, that begged to leave with you
In the presence of the creator, there was no doubt, it knew
