Yes Richard my husbands cancer and my parents situation has brought home how important friends and family are they can't be replaced not like material things - this year like last year my husband and I will spend £10 on each other at Christmas - just a token - last year the most important thing to me was he had got through his cancer surgery - the most precious gift ever. Hugs jan xx

I started writing after my husband underwent cancer surgery a year ago Duke - my dad is now terminally ill - material things can be replaced friends and family can't. When I worked in an insurance office I used to take the mail to the local post office - one day I was delayed and was standing behind a very tall man in the queue - the counter guy said to his colleague 'has she been in? .... the elfin one who is always smiling' - you should have seen BOTH our faces when he served me lol - as I say these things cost nothing but mean the world to someone else:-) Hugs Jan xx

The past 5 years have taught me so much Charmaine - last year my husband was recovering from his cancer surgery and we spent about £10 on each other and we will do that this year too - just a token gift. If we still have dad then it will be the greatest gift ever! Hugs Jan xx
