Precious Earth
My child asked me one day, how a garbage dump affects the earth.
It made me think about all it's worth
And
What we do to it on an average day
How our choices affect it in every way
How far our technology has come
And
What we'll actually have left when all is said and done
What does it really mean to us,
When all we do is take, after all it's given to us
It's the one thing that gives us the ability to;
Live
Build
Survive
And
Revel in beauty
Putting poison back in the ground,
Is not as graceful as it sounds
I don't know about you
But
I'd like to stick around
We drill oil just to poison the water that we drink
But
The government wouldn't want you to know that trick
We drive in the cities with our big suv's until the air stinks
We dig and dig till we cant dig no more
But
How much does the earth really have left to endore
Cutting down trees
Well,Thats just great!
So the only answer is to replant what we take
Come on people what more can I say
Giving back to the earth is the only way
