Precious

Lying out in a patch of sun,
on the warm concrete.
Tale out straight, legs stretched out,
as far as they will reach.
Ears relaxed but still alert,
for the smallest sound.
But it doesn't mean she'll get up,
from her toasty ground.
Little eyes closed against the light,
that offers her glorious heat.
Soft tiny snores from a wet black nose,
tongue stuck out between her teeth.
I wouldn't disturb this sight for anything,
I'll just watch from my own little seat.
But if I wanted her up and moving fast,
all I'd have to say is "Treat?".
