Pre-Requisition
I worry no more about having a man
To share my life with, for God has a plan
I’ll just keep being the best me I can be
And better myself on the path of my destiny
You’re the pre-requisition I get on my way there
Of how that man will be, whose life I’ll one day share
Like a needed requirement for me to actually see
Or maybe a remindment of how a good kiss should be
And how it really feels to be hugged so tight
Like there is true meaning, mutually feeling so right
To learn that a man should lift my spirits high
Giving me joy and inspiration, not to make me cry
With each touch being tender and treating me kind
Good looks top it off, keeping you always on my mind
As a matter of fact, like you, he will only get better
No matter how many years may pass when we’re together
Since you’re already taken you must just be a preview
Of a wonderful man I’ll meet, so I’ll enjoy this time until I do
I’m thankful for every touch and so glad to be the one
To receive your special gift of being the best pre-requisition
