Praying for Faith

Lord, Should I pray for tomorrow? I’m sure I’ll have many things I need. But tomorrow may not come. So I ask you Lord, Should I pray for my next day? Rivers will continue to flow. Birds will fly and find their food. Clouds will come and bring the rain. So why should I worry about tomorrow? I once heard a story of a woman, Who came home early, bags full of goodies. She gave a party for her children. All asked what was the occasion. Her answer was short. “Today I got fired from work. Tomorrow we’ll have no money. But God will provide.” What great faith she had. What faith do I have? I dare not reply.

Faith, sometimes it is hard to grasp. Funny, my daughter was wearing a tee-shirt that simply had the word 'Faith' in bold white lettering over the black fabric. It caught my eye several times today. I think praying is all we really have, and even if we in our human emotions cannot feel it, we can have the faith of a mustard seed to ask anyway. I paused just now to pray you are kept safe and healthy Victor, and that your faith is renewed through joy, peace and love. God bless you!

Wow Victor. Very emotional and poignant. What it comes tomorrow it will come, whatever it is...we have today and that's something to be happy about. Thank you for sharing such a stunning poem. Blessings

In time of need we reach out and hope our prayers will be answered. But if it isn't Gods will. Hugs my friend

I suffer the same problem. Thus having God in my life I still ask the Lord to give me the faith to believe. This comes at a time when I'm depending on MY FAITH.

Walk in it. Each day you live. Hugs ~ Kim I just read Hebrews 11. A good reminder of deeds of faith. Just ordinary people putting their hope in God, not blindly, but because they remembered what God had done along the way. Love you lots, Victor.

Hi Victor, No, I don’t worry about tomorrow. I learned that 55 years ago,if I can get through this day, it’s all I need “yesterday is history…tomorrow is a mystery”. Pangie xxx

“Lord, help me…help my unbelief…” very famous prayer from the bible, praying for more faith & God’s grace. As with your poem, i love the prayer is needing but without shame or guilt for its needing. Very thankful you wrote this wonderful, deliberate poem! Hugs!

I love the explanation of faith at Hebrews 11:1. While it's true we don't know what tomorrow brings, for good or for bad, we do know our eternity is not in jeopardy as long as we're faithful

a powerful poem that personifies faith in action. What an admirable and faithful woman. I have to admit, that sometimes my faith isn't that strong. I pray for it every day. Have a blessed day, Sara

Yes, I agree, Victor, that she did have a great faith. I do hope it all worked out for her because Santa was probably on her trail or two steps ahead of her. Thanks for sharing this one with us and for dropping by my page. I hope that you have come to a complete healing of your body from your recent illness. Sara K
