Prayer of Protection
Heavenly Father hear my cry,
My heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I
I will trust in the shelter of your wings
My Lord hear my voice as I praise you when I sing
In my meditation; preserve my life from fear of the enemy
Please put a protective hedge around my friends and family
Jesus send happiness to open the gates of liberation
Please continue to bless this nation
Instill strength, where my memory proves weak
Grant me the strength and the grace during the storms to overcome and not see defeat
Let me spread love where there is hatred and peace
My Lord please let war and violence cease
I also pray that we would encourage forgiveness and equality
Help us to understand each other better so that we would be made more tolerant and less angry
Teach us to be leaders and role models for our children, grandchildren and all the youth who will one day do the same
Father we ask of this in Jesus’s sweet, precious, holy name
