Prayer Is Powerful
In prayer, I make my requests be known
To a all powerful God, the One…
Who knew me even before I was born,
The God who gave up His only Son.
In prayer, I’m speaking with the great I Am
The One who made the earth…
Created the angels and man,
The One who gave me the greatest sacrifice
In prayer, I’m led to reach out to the poor
To give of my heart and soul…
Generously and without conditions,
Love like this is on a mission to give completely
In prayer, I find my greatest lessons discovered
Sweet joys that I have uncovered…
Through reaching out to the One I love fully,
With a love that He sent down to me
In prayer, I’m able to ask all the questions
Real answers come back to me…
About loving with a spirit of truth and sincerity,
True love that only God can inspire within me
In prayer, I’m worshipping the One I adore
With an honesty that He loves…
Filled with promises of all that I intend to do
Give of my heart to those who need His spirit
In prayer, I share the depths of my heart
With the One who taught me to love…
His gift to my heart and soul has been wisdom
That knows true faith, hope and peace
In prayer, I’m working on my sinful nature
Hoping to learn ways to obtain…
The spirit of goodness that He can give me
Through a love that knows true, heavenly faith
In prayer, I’m gaining strength in my spirit
Through a God who sends to me….
Pure friendship based on tenderness and caring
That is faithful to the heart that really shares with Him
