Prayer For Composing a New Day
Good morning, Lord
another day...
a clear, new page before me
to scribble and doodle on,
to fill as I wish
while I think, pray,
work, play,
decide, act,
but, most of all...
while I love.
By night
I'll have it filled for sure.
Just one thing, Lord.
I hope...
among the scattered scribbles,
the dilly-dally doodles...
something amazing
and creative will emerge
which reflects
your love and glory...
something special
you'll be proud of, Lord,
that you'll accept and enter
in that great, big
book of yours...
