Praise To God

God surely deserves our praise* Heartfelt worship of love’s proofs With sincere gratitude-phrase Acknowledging grace He pours. Along praise in poems and prose Odes to the Lord show faith props As the Holy Spirit prods Toward joyous service-press. Freed from greed and pride that pierce I exalt Christ while soul prays Thanking Him for blessings’ perks Worth-sharing beyond peace price.
*Psalm 40:3 And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. June 3, 2020 4th place, "Genuine Englyns" Poetry Contest Sponsored by Beth Evans; judged on 6/23/2020

Such a beautiful expression of faith, Beata. And, of course, I love the music of the Psalms reference. This poem actually reads like a Psalm. Congratulations!

Beata, Voice raised in praise twice as sweet? Yes. What meaning Solomon's Song of Songs but for sake of all. -Richard
