Praise

PRAISE How cruel the cards and the Dealer to fortune me this way… to find the one so right for me twenty years too late. Her eyes they speak of hope and light, more mysteries to unfold. Her lips my secret paradise… Could I ever be so bold? The sky I do not chastise For thunder and the rain Perhaps there go you and I, in a past time or come again. Nor could I stop the wind That shakes these study walls And wolf-like howls that echo Through cloud-covered halls. Someday, perhaps, my wish fulfilled I’ll dance with you in love. That’s the day I’ll kiss the sky and praise the stars above.

Thanks John; I have a file called 'Oceans in a Teardrop' where I store abstract thoughts and short poems, this poem came from two of those and the blame turned to hope and praise.
