Practicing Forgiveness
Practicing Forgiveness
morning thoughts
From: Tom

When someone, who is a friend, pilfers from me,
money or possessions, they cease being classified as a friend.
I can still be cordial toward them but they become acquaintances,
and their opportunity for forward repeats become limited.
In time, I’ve always forgiven them for what they’ve done
(though they never seek it)
but the avenue for re-occurrence will be diminished.
I see a difference in trust and forgiveness,
and sometimes I fail in giving second chances.
Trust, you earn; forgiveness, is free.
Matthew 6:15
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
