Powerful Man
I am a powerful man, they wonder where my secret lies,
Not so handsome or built to suit society model size,
But when I start to tell them, they think I’m full of lies,
I say it’s in the reach of my hands, the step of my feet,
The talk of my tongue, the food that I eat.
I am a powerful man as though it may seem,
I am just a normal human being, that’s me.
I walk into a room being just cool as can be,
The crowd stands and cheers,
I have no fear, knowing that God is near,
Still, the fear tries to kill,
With fire in my eyes, and the flash of my teeth,
The sharpness of my mind,
Leaving all my troubles behind,
There is no denying my strength comes from above,
I am a powerful man.
When I try to show them, they say they still can’t believe,
Just what I mean, they think it’s just a dream,
The grace of my style it just only to last a little while.
Now, do you understand why I am a powerful man,
I don’t have to shout or jump about Or have to talk
Real loud, I’m not being too proud,
I bend my knees, saying I am please,
With all my flaws, I’m a powerful man,
That's who He has made me be,
Can’t you see what I mean?
