Power Is the Price We Pay

Tell the world that his life is lost
If i could press rewind, i would pay the cost

Now a part of me is dead inside,
and when i breathe with what is left,
the aftermath is all that resides

Bullet wounds conflict my heart
No words can defend how I've fallen apart

My eyes have had enough, my soul can't take no more
I can hear death every night, breaking in the back door

I can't stop this time, all we wanted was to rhyme
with so little time, now I've got to make this life mine

Please be on your way,
mistake after mistake,
power is the price we pay.
