Power and Danger of the Mind

God only knows what power and danger the human brain and mind proposes If lead to believe that confession and absolution from ones sins and bad deeds Can simply be prayed away on any given sunday Or salvation can be bought via donation Then what is indeed to stop any of doing bad instead of good If our deeds are to go unpunished as they will always be forgiven May as well just carry on regardless like naughty children

Hi Christopher, I agree with you - confession I feel shouldn't merely be a crutch for every Sunday or whenever you feel you want to confess, it is how we live our lives (none of us are angels,) but if we follow the 10 commandments why go to confession? I must say though I do feel the need to go to a Communion service, which with Covid, have not done for ages. Clever poem Chrs. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Not that i myself dont agree with confession its more to do with tge point you quiye clearly picked up on and pointed out. Shouldn't merely be a crutch . And its more to do with sic non believers who suddenly repent when they have been caught . Hugs and blessings Jennifer

My dad was a catholic and used to go to confession and feel better for it for unburdening his soul .... but what about the likes of Myra Hindley she turned to the church when she was in prison - can a child murderer really be forgiven for such heinous crimes?:-( hugs jan xx

Yes Jan It's both good and bad Much like lies If they are small white one's then no harm no foul This is written in respect of the those that should never even be considered forgiving
