Pow Wow

Pow wow
How?
Can we sit here feeling
This uplifted
This lifted
From a piece of the earth
Treasured by all
Making us feel
That we are never as small
Small as we often think we are
Are we?
Where we would really,
Like to be?
Together,
Understanding,
Laughing like a torrential downpour
Pouring out,
Hopes, Dreams, and Aspirations
On the table
Through silence and sound
We will never be found.

Very beautifully written. Those who make another feel small are really the ones whose heart, whose souls, have shrunk to that point where they can no longer feel their own essence. Feeling may be painful, but it's the gift mankind has been given. Without it, we can't really be human. A very fleeting, and freeing poem, taking one to a distant, yet enchanting reality...Best wishes, Sara
