Notes About The Poem

It is hot as blazes in Chicago today, my friends ...

Pow

Crack open the front door
  Oh so gingerly

Extend your neck
  Chin thrust forward

Your nose edges out...side
  POW! YOU ARE RAMMED!

By a Wall
  Of the hottest air

 This Side of Hell

Tuck your chin back in...side
  Wince ... once
     Wince ... twice

Blink salty tears stream down your face
  Your January Dream come true!

Ah, cool write, Gershon. Me love the hot weather, but I gotta do what you intimated in this warm write. Stay frosty on the inside tip. lol! Sorry for not stopping by lately ... my bad. As for the weather ... I dread the heat far less than the frigid. I'm not saying ... I'm just saying. Ha, ha ... ha. Outstanding free verse poetry. Love waves give smiles and smiles of joy.

It's projected to hit near 100 today and that is not fun, could relate! Hope you're keeping cool!
