Poverties Dish

Moist brown rice bountiful bowl
drenched in salt tears cold.
Seasoned with the sweat of toil
clean water sun boiled.
Overflowing dish
enough food
a dream!

Did you know that this is how the chines that built our western railraods wer fed? Those who fed them thought it enough indeed, but I wonder what they said in the silence of their head. Peace and light.

This is really yummy. Rice is one of my favorite meals. I just love it with red beans. Also add some curry chicken, and I am ready to eat. Great job! ~Joseph

Debbie, this says so much. It is easy to forget that there are many who don't have enough to eat and appreciate what they do have. Enough food. That says it all. Wonderful piece written with a lot of heart, my poetic friend! Love and hugs, Robin
