Pourtant Toujours

“Je t'aime, 
mon cher!” tu 
m’as dit.
 
Mais pourquoi 
m'as-tu laissé ? J'ai 
demandé.

Ah, je sais-- 
qu'il était pour la bonne cause, pourtant
mon coeur pleure toujours pour toi! 


Yet Still (English)

“I love 
you, my dear!’ you 
said.

But why 
did you leave me? I 
asked.

Ah, I know-- 
it was for the good cause, yet still
my heart cries for you!
