Pouring Voices

All I ever hear is the rainstorms that are washing away my thoughts.
I wish I could hear you,
What you have to say,
How you feel about me.
But I can't even think about that anymore,
It's been washed away completely.
I wish I could hear the gentle yet vicious beat of your heart.
If only I could take care of myself,
The way I take care of you.
Maybe then,
Thoughts would still wander the misleading paths of my mind.
