Pound Puppies - a Poet's Dozen

puppies in a pound barking as people pass by so many choices "Look at me! "Look at me!", they all seem to say. "Please won't you take me home with you today?" Little ones, big ones, fat ones, skinny ones, young and old, shy and bold - they all want a home. Hello there, my four-legged friend. Would you like to come with me? To give you a home is what I intend, and I am sure we will come to be, the best of buddies, you and me. 11/15/15

A VERY SWEET ONE. Is this for that one contest that had us do four poems in one? It sure seems to be. I did an animal one too!

I've fallen behind on my response to comments. This poem was not for the contest, just an extra one I wrote. Thank you for stopping by, Andrea! It means a lot to me.
