POULTICE warm poultice draws on my imagination deflecting the heat of my indignation to a cooler hue of light blues then freezes to ice cubes of resignation pale damp off white clouds hide behind rainbows arched missing clues melting colours out of views anchored cantankerous rubber bands boomerang hurting the collective soul in waves of flotsam frothing amidst mere ransomed reasons ridiculed seasons warm poultice © Kim van Breda—8 September 2015
