Pothole
The Pothole
The road was slippery and hazardous,
Torrential rainfall flooded the narrow streets,
trying to avoid holes, I traverse,
My cherry red Honda overheats.
Thump! Weird sound beneath my car.
Whoa! I plunged into a dreaded pothole,
A tire I blew, and I don’t have a spare.
Thank God. It is not a massive sinkhole.
Gushing rain and the howling wind,
I yelled for help from some kind individual,
Despite the worried look from a swirling mind,
My rescue was nothing less than a miracle.
