What is this obsession with writing verse?
Then posting it on the PoetrySoup site
Do we need recognition, do we need fame
Or is it our ego we need to boost every day

We write about the past, present and future
Our imagination of the unknown and the universe
Of love we feel now or have lost in the past
The funny side of life or the darkness within

The weather gets a mention in verse most days
And of the natural world we love to expound
Funny, sad, outrages or kinky it may be
For it comes from within our thoughts you see

We look for comments from our peers on Soup
We are like a family and have our moments
Of ups and downs and mind blowing ideas
For all of us are poets but we don’t know it

Poet Destroyer A November 10, 2015 at 10:59 AM Hi Kevin, that is a good question, I don't post all my poems on here. I use to 5 years ago. Nowadays, I randomly post 2 or 3 a month. LOL, After a long while, I found out no one truly gets my writes, so I do not share all my poems. However, I will post a semi-okay poem on here. After all I did make many friends on here a while back, I like to call us one awesome community of Poets... Enjoyed your reason to post today.
