Post-Breakup Ego
Tell me you will forever
keep your faithfulness intact,
though it may not be aloud,
I will only scoff at that.
I questioned your fidelity,
and you threatened to leave.
I admitted a grave mistake,
but found a new reprieve.
It appears mine is not the only
wandering eye between us.
Now that it is over I see clear
the point in making such fuss.
You don't get or understand me. I also say
you were never smart enough for me anyway.

I know it's not technically a sonnet because only the 2nd and 4th lines rhyme in the stanzas.
