Eileen Manassian Poet Sonnet

Positively Sure

I'm positively sure this day will be
much better than the days that came before
The universe will smile and dance with me
I know that there is goodness yet in store

The worries in my mind will drift away
on tails of clouds that roam in azure sky
My thoughts will prance like ponies out at play,
and dreams will spread their wings so I can fly

I'll paint the world in rainbow coloured hues,
the grey of yesterday no longer seen
My heart will beat in time to poet muse,
a dulcet rhyme displaying the serene

This day will be a wondrous one for me
I'm positively sure, just wait and see!

Sometimes I find we write poems as deposits to our emotional bank account, to be withdrawn at a future date when they can do the most good. I hope this message of hope and brings you "rainbow coloured hues" when the gray of life has settled upon your soul like a layer of dust.
