Portrait of Madness

Ashes from his lit cigarette, fill up the palette on the floor. The painter wipes away his sweat, adding cerulean blue to the shore. He uses a variety of shaded green, on several pine trees all around. The colors add to the rich scene, that mix with violent tints of brown. In the midst of all this glory, stands a wilting willow out of place. A darkened figure that tells a story, with deepened scratches on her face. The birds he paints are scattered, near few clouds that remain swirled. Dilapidated houses with windows shattered, and a tawny lamp post that is curled. Despicable reds light up the skyline, a bloodied ocean that he would use. Yellows and oranges he did combine, the canvas swelled up with a bruise. In a morose manner did he create, one final tombstone by the sea. And perfectly inscribed on the slate, mark the words "I will return for thee."
