Portrait of Delight
The crimson sun rises glaring at balmy dawn,
burns the noon time sky to ashes of spring,
spreading on the visage of slate complexion,
sky bedecks with remains of flare untrimmed.
From the hazy horizon temperate winds blow,
transmitting transient lease to buds to unfurl
petals of possession with patina of sunburst hue
that falls through the trees on reverie of shade.
Southern zephyr ripples through twilight gold,
floating tinsel streaks on the threshold of dusk,
sprinkling colors on my mind’s blank canvas
for me to paint the portrait of eternal delight.
Through the tepid air dark grains of night fall,
wafting moondust dances on wave of ecstasy,
reaches with pearls of euphoria my dry shore,
as in scintillating rhapsody of heaven I immerse.
