Portrait of a Holy Man

Beard bent over his walking stick
  each step cautious
twitching side to side
left hand trembling, along for the ride

Tapping out the narrow path every morn
to the place his soul was reborn

Excellent piece of writing, my friend, gw. I have seen this myself and realized that I was standing on or near holy ground.

There are some such old men, happy and contended in life, heading towards a goal of their choice, braving all infirmities of old age ! Well delineated, Gershon.
