Beware the Ides of March when sudden blizzards pass sowing deadly devastation. With harsh intense relentless brutal force they charge, unforgiving… in their wake tears frozen.

G'day Paul … after reading your verse twice I find it hard to comprehend how anyone or anything can survive these tempests, however, nature compensates. Our worst weather is mild compared to many places - thank you Paul - Lindsay

The Ides of March - Julius Ceasar was warned to beware - the 15th March for he was to be murdered - The Ides of March are connected to death and destruction as is your poem and the copy of the newspaper above. And also as Shakespeare spoke of in his play. Excellent write my friend - hope this wins! Warm regards and hugs, Jennifer.

WoW! This really hit home for me having lived in the NWT here in Canada for 13yrs and some of the blizzards on the plains can be pretty brutal too. Excellent description Paul. Great job. A winner for sure. God Bless and good luck in the contest. Stay well, JB

You captured the essence of harsh winter felt in some parts of US--so sad about the death toll due to weather--your poem gives them a voice. Well done, Paul--all the best.
