Porridge Ten Days Old
Porridge Ten days old
You ask me to wait around
And then you went away
I think your timing was wrong
But who am I to say
Saw picture of you
The beauty is in your face
But you show no compassion
Think your heart’s been miss place
We both light a fire
That was burning so bright
Then couldn’t find the love
To make it last night
If you go to battle for love
Knowing a heart is going to fall
Then I don’t think that love
Is worth fighting for after all
So I wish her the best
Hope she has great life
Maybe a couple kids and
Make someone a good wife
There’s an empty bed
Where we both use to sleep
So many promises we make
But not one has been keep
Last night when I sleep
I had a dream
We were sharing a bowl
Of maple syrup ice cream
Some times love last forever
Some times love never reaches the soul
Some times love looks like
Porridge Ten days old
I try to understand love
Cause the pain never goes away
So I will sit thru my sorrow
And live to love another day
Some where in a land
I won’t say but is in the UK
My heart will travel
And forever in love I will stay
