Porcelain and Onyx
Porcelain and Onyx
Free verse
His Agile fingers float across
The faces of porcelain and onyx
Translucently releasing a glow
Firing the atmosphere with romance
Stirring emotions into a harmonic melody
Eyes closed he sees each note arise
A melodic ambiance saturates the room
There is no ceiling in creating music
To be able to bring rapture to every heart
As I sat and listened on my porch
Among the buttercups responding
To His sweet refrains
I feel moved, exhilarated, and universal
One with all humankind for music
Is the world’s universal language
My words float from the banjo of time
Riding upon the four winds with unity
Music is the common tie between
Us all
That
Every
Ear
And
Spirit
Understands
