It is because they have all found my yard; but they have to fight the squirrels for the bird feed and I wish them luck daily.

Right?! Sad day for many a hobby. Brought my machine up, made a couple masks but I love words all the more so the *ell with it.

Plenty of fowl through here lately. The Canadian geese are flying North right over my farm. Great image.

I wrote too soon, just back from a walk, hundreds of swallows! With a few swifts too. I have not seen them in such great numbers for years. Some of the local Canadian Geese already have goslings. & farm... jealous ;), xomo

I would love to be able to say so much with so few words.

Wonder why that could be (migration patterns? a post apocalyptic scenario?) ... I imagine the hobby takes a certain amount of patience, like fishing. Do you have a favorite bird?

Why: climate change, cats, pollution, loss of habitat, pesticides, window collisions, basically, us. I do have a favourite, Loverboy, cuz Prince Charming's an ass ;), my doves... I would have to say falcons if forced to pick just one. I love them all.

My cat actually brought in two dead birds (minus the heads, don't ask) so on her behalf, I apologize :(

I apologize too for what you are about to read... 2.4 billion birds a year killed by cats in the US. x

Hello Maureen, the birds do not have food to eat! No insects! Oh how sad! Have a nice day my friend.

Our pesticide use has been wholly successful. Yay for us. D'oh! ~truthfully, my heart is broken. Thank you my friend, xomo

Because fewer insects for birds to eat (the hardier insects are emigrating to Canada, so you can still see birds). Aloha! Rico
