Pony Up

I'm often asked to pony up for someone else's problem, But not that many friends have ever asked me for asylum, Or even come to visit me when my own life's a downer, Might loan me shovel (would be nice), world's politics now browner. (1) Sometimes a pony's just too small, a tractor would be nicer, In winter maybe gasoline to serve as a deicer? Trump says he's for America! "Amen!" Trash talk but who's 'disputin,' But then fool proves that he's a 'putz' and crawls in bed with Putin! He's sure no saint (I smell a con) but is he guilty, mister, Of treason and much worse high crimes? Folks say he'd sell his sister! Already used his kids for bait, wink, wink, "We do this maybe?" Reneges on debts and blood is spilled, his truth's abortion's baby. So pony up my lads and lasses, future's hope forsaken, Your vote for him, the Nation's loss, if I am not mistaken. You wanted sex and mayhem (2), but contracted deadly cancer, But that's your choice! Now racists run, the "Baddest (3) Show on Earth," sir! Long Tooth August 20, 2018 Poet's Notes: (1) The cowardice of many current Republicans on Trump's attacks on fundamental Christian and American values honestly reminds me of Nazi fanaticism and the rise of Hitler's Brownshirts! All hail the new Fascism! Entertainment uber Alles! (2) Read adultery, disrespect for women, and total ignorance of science! (3) Trump has turned his hatred of truth that he doesn't like into a circus, a spiritual pauper's version of the "Greatest Show on Earth!"
