Pondering the Cosmos

Pondering the cosmos, I thought I’d look around until I heard a tiny voice, speaking from the ground It questioned why I bothered, to gaze so far away when right beneath my own two feet, a vibrant world’s at play Hmm, I mused. He’s got a point, I may have overlooked So, I bent down and what I saw forever had me hooked The drama of an anthill forming, the undulations of a worm A cosmos that I’d never known ~ a new world from which to learn

Gershon, wonderful nature rhyme. You sound like me. I sit out on our backyard patio just about every day for hours watching nature such as inchworms, dragonflies, birds, ants, cute little tiny bugs including ladybugs, cloud formations, and the aircraft that fly in the area. My daughter doesn't know how I have the patience to sit out there all day. A touch of a naturalist in me. :)))))

You are more of a naturalist than I by your description, Regina. An hour is about my limit. ~ Aunt Hill

I love this! You never know what wonders you will find both near and far. We have a crepe myrtle that wasn’t flowering for a couple years but my husband noticed the tall blooms this year. Fave!

Gee, thanks for the Fave, Kim. Nothing like the 'cosmos' right under our own two feet! ~ Gershon
